Arsenal worry that center-back Gabriel Magalhães might remain out of action for at least one month after suffering a thigh problem while playing for Brazil last week.

The Brazilian defender was forced off during Brazil's win against Senegal in a exhibition match at the Emirates Stadium on the weekend and has since gone back to his team for more assessments.

Medical examinations are still underway, and the club have not yet announce the exact duration of the 27-year-old time out.

That said, he is not expected to play for the upcoming clash with Tottenham on the weekend or the Champions League meeting with the German giants only afterwards.

Possible Absence and Key Matches

There are concerns that Gabriel could be out for a minimum of four weeks, perhaps more, based on the extent of the issue.

That could rule him out of multiple vital fixtures, like:

• Domestic fixtures against Chelsea and Brentford at the Emirates
• An away match to play Villa
• The European clash at Brugge on December 10th

The Arsenal side—who currently have a four-point advantage over City—then face Wolverhampton at home before a rearranged trip to Everton on 20 December.

Significant Blow for The Title Bid

Being without Gabriel is a serious blow for Arsenal in their Premier League push.

This center-back has played each minute of the Premier League season so far and is integral to a backline that has conceded only five times in 11 matches.

Prior to the recent tie at the Stadium of Light, the team had recorded eight straight shutouts in all competitions.

Replacement Options and Other Fitness Worries

Mosquera and other summer arrival Piero Hincapié are in contention to replace Gabriel against Spurs.

Additionally, there are concerns over whether forward Gyökeres will recover to lead the line after sitting out Arsenal's last two fixtures before the pause due to a hamstring issue.

In other news, Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann stated that Kai Havertz has experienced a “slight setback” during his comeback from a knee problem.

Although Mikel Arteta had been hopeful about the player's comeback this weekend, Nagelsmann indicated that Havertz is currently expected to return by the New Year.
