Ariana Grande was in Singapore for the regional premiere of Wicked: For Good

Loyal fans of the actress are demanding that a individual who breached a barricade and grabbed the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating video shows the individual from Australia shoving aside camera operators and charging at Grande while the actors walked down a event pathway flanked by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being arrested", though legal records revealed that he was set to appear on the following morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

History of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram account includes recordings of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last winter.

"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is clearly a punishable act," commented an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" another Instagram user questioned.

Followers Voice Worry Over Ariana's Well-being

Numerous fans criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote a further comment on Instagram.

Several fans also questioned event staff at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals demanded online networks to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In clips circulating online, Grande looked shocked when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.
