Recent details have emerged about the tragic demises of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were located at their Brentwood, Los Angeles property on Sunday.

The Discovery

A source indicates referencing a family associate, a practitioner scheduled for an session was the first to notice something was wrong after being unable to gain access the home. The therapist then contacted the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives close by.

After gaining access to the home, Romy found her father's body. Reports state she then fled the house in anguish, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was also inside. A companion who had gone with her contacted 911. Subsequently, paramedics found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Proceedings

Law enforcement have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of premeditated murder, including the use of a dangerous weapon, said to be a knife. He is presently being held and is ineligible for bail.
